Awarding Bids for remodeling at Friend’s Place

Sharon got in touch with both companies about getting breakdowns of their quotes and emails were sent from the board. Fox Construction did not reply. Neidigh Construction Corporation had everything on their itemized lists that was requested. Dan suggests that he board move forward with Neidigh or set to have rebids done but there would need to be a legal reason to turn down the current bids. Susie motions to accept the bid from Neidigh Construction Corporation to remodel Friend’s Place, Jack seconds, all agree.

Letters were sent out two weeks ago to the city and county legal departments about Seminary Park to request their policies. The county has replied suggesting to set up a time to look over those policies, but the city has not responded. William wants to formally request the public records which will give the city another chance to reply within a certain timeline before we have to choose another direction to get their attention. It is decided that the formal request for public records of policies from the city will be sent out on Monday.

The board suggests that Bobby’s Pantry and Perry Township be combined through Hoosier Hills reporting. Their newsletter has the pantry listed as both places and some may not know that we function as Bobby’s Place as well.

The state low on township board members’ terms has been amended to four years for everyone, but the board can change it to two members run in two years and then the other two run in the next two years. Our board feels that things are fine the way they are and to leave the term for every four years for all members.

The meeting was concluded at 4:40 pm.
