Emergency Assistance

Perry Township offers emergency short-term assistance for residents of the township.

Perry does not offer ongoing monthly assistance. For these services, check out the Continuing Help page. If you're looking for Food and Shelter, check out this page

We may be able to help with basic needs, such as short-term assistance with rent, utilities, food, household items, and mortgage lenders, when no other resource is available. This assistance is not paid to you, but directly to the companies that provide the services you need (like landlords or utility companies.

First, find out if you're a resident of Perry Township

If you are a Perry Township resident, contact our office to schedule an appointment. When you attend your appointment, you must provide us with the filled-out application (see below) along with all the required additional documentation (ie: IDs, paycheck stubs, utility bills, other benefit verifications, etc.). See the What to Bring page below.

You must fill out the Application for Township Assistance form in advance of your appointment. If you would prefer to pick up the application in our office or lack printing capabilities, the applicaiton is available in our office as well.
